The Women’s Health Corner Talk Series has become a vital platform for promoting women’s health education among employees at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) and NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP). Launched by a group of Columbia Internal Medicine residents in early 2023, the monthly series was created to raise awareness, foster open dialogue, and empower staff with expert-led information on health topics that affect women throughout their lives.

Each session features a leading physician, researcher, or healthcare professional who shares the latest scientific insights and medical advancements in women’s health. Attendees also benefit from interactive Q&A sessions, offering an opportunity to engage and gain a richer understanding of the topics at hand.

Talks are offered in a hybrid format, with in-person events held at the VP&S First Floor Amphitheater and a virtual option available for remote participation.

The Women’s Health Corner Talk Series explores a broad range of essential health issues, empowering attendees with practical knowledge to make informed decisions about their well-being. Each session is designed to reflect the real-life health concerns of women, offering expert guidance rooted in the latest research and clinical practice.

Past sessions have addressed cardiovascular health and disease prevention, nutrition and lifestyle, and the challenges of menopause and osteoporosis, providing staff with evidence-based strategies for lifelong wellness

These sessions have sparked meaningful dialogue, delivered valuable insights, and inspired participants to take a more active role in managing their health.
