MLK Day of Service

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy, we invite all CUIMC community members to dedicate this day to giving back. Join us, along with others across the city and nation, in making a meaningful impact. Below are service opportunities with local organizations that support the Washington Heights and Inwood communities and a link to register.

Washington Heights/Inwood Opportunities:
- NYC Love Kitchen
10:00 a.m. — 12:30 p.m.

NYC Love Kitchen serves the Washington Heights/ Inwood communities with fresh meals and food pantry weekly. Spend the day having a packing party at their food distribution center on 205th St & 9th Ave. Please bring a filled water bottle. Children of all ages can join. Fort Washington Collegiate Church, 729 West 181st Street New York, NY 10033
The Y provides key social services and health programming for Upper Manhattan residents. Join local organizations such as Fort Washington Collegiate Church, Fort Fridge, and Fort Tryon Jewish Center in packaging and distributing hygiene kits, food and coffee to community members. MLK Day Celebration and conversation to follow. Please bring a filled water bottle, warm outdoor clothing, and lunch. Children of all ages can join. 40 spots available.
